Tiffany and Shaun's big day.

I posted the images from Tiffany and Shaun's wedding today and they also stopped by the studio this evening to pick up thier proofs and see the sample album I put together for them.

They were married in the beginning of May in Pottstown and I was fortunate enough to work with Alicia Nathanson with Blossom Productions out of Philadelphia. Alicia put together a pretty cool highlight clip from the wedding (which can be view here).

The reception was at the always perfect LaMassaria at Belle Vista. I love shooting there. Brad and his crew really know how to take care of everyone who walks through thier door. I'm very happy every time I have the chance to work there.

But enough about everyone else, Tiffany and Shaun had a way cool vintage Rolls Royce drive them in absolute style. Wow this was a beautiful car. Tiffany looked stunning while Shaun did pretty decently too (but I am always more partial to the brides and how they look of course).

If you would like to see some of thier images, they can be found by visiting my Online Albums page. Just click on thier names and it will take you right to everything that was shot that day.

Framed Newborn Images are ready to go

Not only is is very special for me to be able to photograph a newborn baby... but then when the new Mommy and Daddy pick out several images to be framed makes the job even more complete for me. There is nothing better than taking home your final photographs and all you have to do is hang it on the wall.
Here are a couple of samples of the final frames photos Jessica and Nick ordered of thier first baby. I really enjoy the 3 image panel ... it is a great way to show off numerous images all at once.
Check out the framed photo in the upper right corner. The scale of Nick's hand up against the tiny little fingers really puts it all into perspective as to how tiny we really are when we start out in this world.
Jessica and Nick have a beautiful baby and I look forward to the chance of seeing her grow up.

Christine and Jeff's engagement session was a blast

Last night, Christine and Jeff came by the studio for thier engagement photo session. We had a good time shooting. But for some reason, I kept calling him Kevin (and I have NO idea why). Good thing he is pretty darn well humored about it.

Christine and Jeff will be married in October of this year... It is also special for me too since I have already photographed 2 other weddings for the family as well as a nice big family photo session a few years ago. It always means a lot to me when I get to see the family numerous times over for such special events.

Tori and Grant came to visit the studio for some engagement photos

Over last weekend, Tori and Grant came to the studio for an engagement photo session. I love to have my wedding couples visit for engagements as it really gives me a chance to meet with both of them in a very relaxed manner. While I do stop short of calling this the 'get to know you session' (it sounds to 'corny' for me), that's really what my engagements are all about.

My goal with a session like this is to know how the bride and groom will look on 'film' (even though it is all digital) before the wedding.

We started out with some shots inside the studio and then moved to a local park for some images. Outside is where we really had some nice stuff too. Btw... it was funny... when we first went to the first location, the Daniel Boone Homestead wow were we surprised to see the huge amount of cars parked EVERYWHERE. Turns out, the Revolutionary War Encampment was being held last weekend.

So with that in mind, we just turned around and went to another local (and much less populated) park right here in Birdsboro.

Here is one of our favorite images from the session. After spending time with Tori and Grant, I'm really looking forward to thier wedding in June of 2009. It will be another wedding I get to work with my good friend Steve from Absolute Video.

Another wonderful newborn session today

I absolutely love it when I photograph a wedding and then a couple years down the road (sometimes in even less time), the Bride and Groom bring in thier newborn baby for me to photograph. It means so much to me that I am trusted to capture such important parts of thier lives.

Well today, Melissa and Doug brought Baby Ava into the studio for her first portait session just less than two weeks after she arrived (and just less than 2 years after they were married).

Here is one of my favorite images from the session today

Okay... well more than one made my favorites for today. In this one, i love the scale of her tiny little fingers against Daddy's hands.

Thank you Melissa and Doug for bringing Ava into the studio today!!!

Senior Portraits are great this year

My senior portaits sessions have been a bigger hit this year. Today I had Rebekka come into the studio with her Mom for her senior portrait session. Here is a quick sample of what her friends and family will be getting in the next week or so when her commencement ceremony takes place at Blue Mountain Academy in just a couple of weeks. Congratulations Rebekka!!!

While I was posting, I figured I would share another image from just a couple weeks ago of Nicole. She had some really great images from her session and I love shooting against the 'red wall' of my studio. It's been a big hit with a lot of Seniors as well as my engaged couples who I will be soon have the pleasure of recording thier weddings.
That's all for now...

ICC's First Holy Communion

I was fortunate a week ago to be invited back for my 5th straight year of photographing the children of the Immaculate Conception Church who were receiving thier first Holy Communion. This year, the number of children was probably the largest I have seen. With around 90 children in the parish, it was an impressive scene to see all of them dressed so well.

One of my son's (Alex) is a second grader at the school and his photo can be seen here.
I hope to be able to complete the delivery of all the images to the parents in about a week as I know many are very excited to see them.
What will also be great to see is the dvd in production from Absolute Video. I talked to Steve just the other day and he is hard at work keeping up with all of his edits. We also talked about hosting a hightlight clip from the masses on Saturday, May 10. If you did not order a dvd from Steve prior to the mass, no worries, you will still be able to at a later date (I have a feeling that once you see the hightlight clip, you will want to have this as a keepsake for your child).
